Gloria Jean Nagy

This will be the nineth season under the musical direction of Gloria Jean Nagy. Ms. Nagy has been a professor of voice for over 25 years in the National Capital Region teaching at Carleton University, Canterbury High School and in her own vocal studio. She has been involved in local musical organizations including NATS and is a past president of ORMTA Ottawa Region Branch (Special Teacher 2009). She also conducts three other choral groups, the West Ottawa Children's Chorus, Amabile Singers of Nepean and St. Paul's Presbyterian Sanctuary choir and is an experienced solo performer celebrating twenty-three years of vocal Chamber music this season with her duo Cantabile. She is sought after as an adjudicator, workshop clinician and has been a vocal and piano examiner for Conservatory Canada since 2001. She holds a Master of Music in Vocal Literature and Performance from UWO, is an Associate of the Royal Conservatory of Music in Toronto, studied at the Banff Centre and has a diploma from the Liszt Ferenc Music Academy in Budapest. She has released two solo CD's so far with pianist Elaine Keillor: (2006) Musique: Canadian Songs of Parlour and Stage from 1771-1936 available through Carleton Sound or from Gloria Jean.
